Shakespeare School Festival

Sarah Bonnell students have always participated actively in the Shakespeare Schools Festival.

This year has proven to be no exception. Students beginning their GCSE Drama course at the start of Year 10 have been devising, rehearsing and performing productions of Romeo and Juliet and The Merchant of Venice, whilst the Drama Club Sarah Bonnell Players have created a version of Macbeth.

Spanning the genres of comedy and tragedy, and incorporating a range of theatrical styles from physical theatre to the gothic, the performances promise to be a real treat for their audiences. The students have been working incredibly hard towards these performances by learning lines, directing their peers and collaborating effectively together. The performances will be taking part in the professional theatre venue Stratford Circus and will begin at 7pm.
