I’m a minister of religion in The Salvation Army and with my husband I run a fresh expression of The Salvation Army in Stratford.  Part of my work involves being a part of the NEWway night shelter and providing a place of home for homeless guests for one night a week during the winter.  My work also allows me to be a chaplain in Westfield.  I have been involved in working with people who have been in prison and people who have been victims of human trafficking.  In previous appointments I have worked in a school inclusion unit and have been involved in youth work. Before becoming a minister I was a project manager and supervisor and I have a degree in Linguistics and French.  I have recently graduated with a first class degree in Pastoral Care and Psychology and am fascinated by human behaviour – what motivates us – what makes us who we are and how we can become the best versions of ourselves.  I am passionate about promoting wellbeing and good pastoral care.  I have a daughter who is in year 8 and a son in year 5 in a local primary school. In my spare time I love to write and I have a not so secret ambition of completing a book one day.  I also love read and snuggle up next to my husband and children with a good book.

Over my 10+-year career, I have gained valuable experiences through various roles as a management consultant, product owner, business development manager, and software engineer. My current job as a management consultant is particularly relevant, as I work with management teams across private, public, and social sector institutions to solve their top strategic & operational problems.

As a British Nigerian citizen-of-the-world, I was blessed to benefit from gaining a solid education across 4 countries on 3 continents. My passion in education stems from my belief that everybody has a right to a quality education, which provides opportunities to maximise their potential and positively impact their community. Sarah Bonnell’s ethos speaks to this and I wish to help the school continue to meet its visions and goals.
